Pete Gillen, former UVA Head Coach, and VABA Board Advisor has always believed in the power athletics can have on our young people. Despite the fact he has almost 400 wins as a Division I Head College coach, he stands by character and academics over winning. The “game of life” is what Coach Gillen has always emphasized, and this is why he is an active member of our community in supporting the VABA Mission of “building character and shaping lives through the game of basketball.”
