JBL Girls 1st-4th Grade Preseason Tip-Off and Parent Night:  Thursday, Oct. 15 @ Greer Elem 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm!
*Thursday, October 15 @ Greer Elementary (Directions), 6:00 - 7:30 pm

We are very excited about the upcoming basketball season, and we hope your family is too!

As the season approaches and our staff is preparing, a key component to our planning is your League Division's Preseason Tip-Off and Parent Night. Thursday, Oct. 15 is the 1st-4th grade Girls Preseason Tip-Off and Parent Night!  This is an opportunity for our coaches and staff to observe, coach and evaluate each participant's skill level.  This is important as we strive to balance and place teams in the right division -- and make an overall evaluation of skill level, strengths and areas to improve upon.  In addition, we will have a Parent Presentation (required by, at least, one parent per child - "Yes"...even if you attended last season!) which is essential to everyone working together to carry out our Mission of "building character and shaping lives through the game of basketball."  This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions, directly to one of our VABA representatives (please do not reply to this email unless you have a specific question - no RSVP necessary, just show up!)!

WHAT TO WEAR: Please make sure your daughter is wearing a cotton, sleeved t-shirt.  Kids will receive a name-tag and a # on each sleeve, and the name-tags do not stick to dri-fit material or skin (so, no jerseys, sleeveless or dri-fit tops, please).  Thank you!

Finally (for Volunteer Coaches), parents who have already expressed an interest in coaching this winter and/or would be interested in coaching, please plan on staying in the gym, on the court, to help with evaluations.  If you haven't seen the Parent Presentation, we may ask you to please participate in this section of the evening, but if not, we could use your help!  Thank you!

Thank you, and we look forward to an exciting basketball season!
