Biography

Elizabeth Clark is a dynamic professional at the intersection of education, philanthropy, and sports. A Richmond native and former Manchester High School field hockey player, she attended St. John's College (MD) before completing her undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and earning an MBA from Georgetown University.

Elizabeth's career began in Virginia politics, where she served in the groundbreaking administration of L. Douglas Wilder, the nation's first elected Black governor. As Governor's Assistant for Clemency and Editor of Commonwealth Publications, she drove policy initiatives to prevent youth recidivism and secured a pivotal pardon leading to an innocent person's release.

At Royall & Company (now EAB), Elizabeth helped transform the company into higher education's leading enrollment management firm, culminating in multiple successful private equity transactions. Her work expanded educational access for millions of underserved students while strengthening institutional missions nationwide.

Most recently, as Chief Development Officer for The Endowment Project and The Endowment Project Foundation's pilot year, Elizabeth collaborated with leaders in public education and philanthropy to build sustainable funding models driven by alumni engagement and community values.

Elizabeth currently serves as Director of Development for the Virginia Basketball Association (VABA), inspired by her son's transformative five-year experience with the program. Her passion for youth development and community impact continues to shape her work in athletics and education.
